Cleckheaton firm takes Orlando!
The company won an award at the annual National Association of Corrosion Engineers’ (NACE) International conference, held in Orlando’s Orange County Conference Center.
The award for ‘Integrity Assessment in the Corrosion Control’, was presented to head of engineering at Flexitallic Russ Currie by NACE International president Kevin Garrity.

Hide AdMr Currie said: “It is a privilege to receive the award for the FRG. It is great recognition for an innovation.”
The company which specialises in valves and gaskets for industrial equipment, was given the award for one of its latest inventions, the FRG gasket, which helps repair damaged heavy machine parts without the need for replacements.
Mr Currie invented the gasket, and added: “It is great recognition for an innovation which addresses a major issue for the industry.
“It limits the amount of initial corrosion and vastly reduces the lengthy and costly processes involved, which are carried out in extreme environments.”

Hide AdThe NACE conference was attended by more than 5,000 corrosion professionals from around the world.
Flexitallic Ltd, in Hunsworth Lane, Cleckheaton, was recognised as being a leader in its field.
NACE international executive director, Bob Chalker said: “The winners, including Flexitallic, represents the best of the industry.”
