Robert Edward Hind, 46, was reported missing last Wednesday evening.

Yesterday (Tuesday) a 46-year-old man was charged with his murder.

David Anthony Mitchell is said to have murdered Mr Hind at Manchester Road in Cowlersley, Huddersfield, on Wednesday December 11.

Mitchell, of the same address, refused to leave the cells to go into the courtroom but the matter was dealt with in his absence.

Mitchell will appear at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday at 10am.

“A forensic post mortem examination was carried out which showed the 46-year-old died as a result of strangulation and head injuries.
