Pensioner unable to leave his Hightown home as thieves steal mobility ramps

A 79-year-old man was unable to leave his Hightown home after thieves stole his mobility ramps.

Mobility ramps were stolen from a property in Hightown

On New Year's Eve the pensioner reported his ramps being stolen in the evening.

A spokesperson for the Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "The suspects even went to the effort of unbolting them, meaning he now can't leave his house.

"Not the happy start to the shift we were looking for."

Anyone who has any information about the incident should call police on 101 and quote log number *1240 of December 31.
