Robbers jumped out of a transit van and stole two mountain bikes from teenagers in the street.

Police officers are appealing for witnesses following the robbery in Oakenshaw on Friday June 5.

At around 6.45pm, the two teenage boys were robbed of their mountain bikes whilst cycling on Wyke Lane.

The suspects were driving a white transit van and pulled over and forced the boys of their bikes before driving off.

The van is believed to have been seen in Wyke Village and Low Moor earlier in the afternoon.

The suspects are described as a white male and a black male, both in their late teens/early 20s.

The teenage victims were not injured during the robbery

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who saw the vehicle driving in the area at around the time of the incident to contact police.
