A Mirfield primary school has been given a flawless Ofsted report, achieving an “outstanding” rating in every single category.
Crossley Fields Junior and Infant School was awarded the rating after an inspection earlier this year.
Headteacher Catherine Lockwood was bowled over by the news.
“The staff, governors, parents and children are thrilled with the outcome of the inspection,” she said. “We feel it recognises the hard work, community spirit and pupil endeavour that makes Crossley Fields such a great place to learn. We have a highly dedicated staff team, wonderful children and a very supportive governing body.”
“I am immensely proud of all the staff and children and very grateful for the support we receive from parents and the community.
“Our children are keen to learn and are motivated by the challenges. We will use this excellent report as a benchmark for improvement – not forgetting that children are at the heart of every thing we do.”
