Cyclist suffers serious injuries after accident

The 37-year-old man was heading towards Mirfield just before 6am on Wednesday morning.

He was on a battery-powered bicycle opposite the Kenmore Caravans store and it is not thought any other vehicles were involved.

It was originally believed that the man had suffered only minor injuries but when taken to hospital it was found that he had serious but not life threatening injuries.
