Dewsbury Museum staff member rewarded for education work

LESSONS giving children a taste of life in wartime Britain have helped Dewsbury Museum win a new accolade.

The museum in Crow Nest Park regularly runs sessions for local schools inspired by life in World War II or its toy gallery collections.

And now it is the proud recipient of a Sandford Award for its outstanding heritage education provision.

A Heritage Education Trust judge said it was ‘a museum at the heart of a community’ which gave quality guidance to its young visitors.
