Whether it’s organising a cake sale, sponsored silence, a non-uniform day at your school or simply giving us your change we need you to get involved.

We’re supporting four charities in the Reporter Series Fund - Kirkwood Hospice, the Forget-Me-Not children’s hospice, grassroots charitable foundation One Community and national charity Asthma UK.

All will benefit from a year of fundraising by Reporter Series staff and our readers. Once you’ve got an idea for a fundraiser, let us know, and we’ll tell everyone about it,and feature photographs of your event or challenge once it’s complete.

Reporter Series editor Hannah Ridgeway said: ”We know there are some very, very generous people out there in the area who will have some fantastic ideas for fundraising.

“I really hope that our readers will get onboard with us and chose the Reporter Series Fund as a beneficiary for fundraising.

“We want to cover your event and give you,or your organisation, some publicity for your fundraising efforts. So, if you could pledge to do a bag pack,a coffee morning,a sponsored run,or anything else for this fund just let us know.”
