Following her promotion and rise to fame in February, Felix wasn’t happy just to sit on her tail and is now taking to her paws to complete a Fairy 5k challenge, raising even more cash.

The charity, based in Huddersfield, brightens the lives of sick children across the country through Lego.

They buy, collect and build sets, which are then delivered to hospitals to be played with by children on the wards and teamed up with Bright Bricks to build a life-sized version of the famous feline.

The challenge will take place on Friday August 12 at Huddersfield Station.

A measuring and tracking device will be attached the Felix’s collar, so that everyone can follow her progress with a link posted to her social media pages.

Being the professional purr-fectionist that she is, Felix’s challenge will be made a little harder as she insists on keeping any pests, including her old nemesis Percy the Pigeon, off the platforms.

The life-sized Lego Felix will also be on display at the station.

Andy McClements, TPE’s spokesperson for Felix, said: “Fairy Bricks do such amazing work by putting smiles on children’s faces through LEGO, and so when Felix and the team found out about the 5k challenge it was a no-brainer. The only condition was that it couldn’t get in the way of the day job – those pests won’t control themselves!”

Kevin Gascoigne of Fairy Bricks said: “More than £2,000 has been raised already, which is fantastic, and will truly improve these children’s lives. Thank you to everybody who has donated so far, and there is still time to do so if you’d like to help.

“Felix is an international star so to have her supporting us is great – hopefully she likes her Lego self.”
