Firm’s show of support

Staff at a recruitment firm will be pounding the pavements in the middle of the night as part of a year-long show of support for Kirkwood Hospice.

AM Recruitment, which is based at Shaw Cross Business Park, has chosen the hospice as its charity of the year, and will be out in force at its Midnight Memory Walk in June.

The event is the biggest in the hospice’s calendar and will see walkers set off from the John Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield for a 10-mile circuit at midnight on June 22.

Not only has AM Recruitment signed up as one of the main event sponsor, members of staff will also take part.

Joanne Carson, operations manager at the company, said: “The hospice is a charity that is close to our hearts here, and it is nice to be able to give something back to the community.”

Staff will also take part in other fundraising events throughout the year.

And each time a company rings with a permanent vacancy and mentions the hospice, AM Recruitment will donate £100 of finder’s fee when the booking is filled.

Kate Leadbeater, partnership development manager at the hospice, said: “We’re thrilled to be in partnership with AM Recruitment and look forward to working with them this year.”
