The project aims to teach visitors about the history of the park and raise money for the refurbishment of the lake.

Pupils learned about the park’s history and wildlife by taking part in various activities and visiting Dewsbury Museum, which is in the park.

Park development officer Naomi Goddard said:“The children had a lovely time and we are looking forward to them coming back in autumn to do more with the project.” (d620a329)
