LETTER: A thank you for charity fun day

We, the primary organisers of The Wilton Park Charity Fun Day which took place on Sunday, August 14 at Batley Park, would like to say a huge thank you to all stallholders, volunteers including members of Friends of Wilton Park, Batley and our great local community for getting behind what was a really successful day of fun and fundraising.

The event was most enjoyable and very well-attended.

The amount that was raised for the benefit of the Children’s Heart Fund at Leeds General Infirmary was an outstanding £2,383.33, which has since been topped up to a fantastic £2,500.

A special mention to CPM Entertainments, Sutton School of Performing Arts, White Rose Diamond Majorettes and Keli Firth Zumba for their outstanding performances which all proved to be hugely popular on the day.

Also thanks to Martin, Nick and Joanne; the Park Staff who got right behind the event and helped us show off our local park in all of its glory.

Once again, a massive thank you to you all. You have all made a real difference.
