I attended Millbridge School in Liversedge recently to thank the staff and children who provided hampers for single, elderly, vulnerable people over Christmas in the Liversedge and Heckmondwike areas.
Many of the children use Heckmondwike Library and their parents have been signing our petition outside the school gates to keep the library open.
So far around 1,200 people have signed. We have produced a new poster for local shops, and we will be in Heckmondwike town centre gathering more signatures on Saturday, February 14 from 10am onwards.
The next meeting of the Friends of Heckmondwike Library is on Tuesday, February 17 at the library.
