Man attacked by thugs in the street

A man was punched in the face and robbed in Dewsbury late last Friday.

The 32-year-old man was listening to music on his mobile phone as he walked alone in Reservoir Street.

He was approached by two men as he turned onto Brunswick Street, in the direction of Green Lane. They demanded his phone before punching him.

The man tried to put his phone in his pocket, but dropped it on the floor before escaping in the direction of Green Lane.

The suspects chased him and are believed to have run off with the victim’s phone.

The attack happened between 9.40pm and 9.50pm on May 24.

The first suspect is described as white, around 32 years old, 5ft 8in to 5ft 9in tall and of medium build. He was wearing a dark knitted ski hat and dark jacket. He is believed to have been wearing jeans and gloves.

The second suspect is described as white, aged between 28 and 30, short and of stocky build. He was wearing a dark knitted ski hat, dark jacket and dark tracksuit bottoms.
