Man hospitalised after dog attack in Westtown
A Dewsbury man was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries after he was attacked by his dog.
Police were called to a home in Dorset Walk, Westtown, after reports of a small disturbance at a house party on New Year’s Eve.
As officers arrived at around 7.14pm, a dog belonging to the people living in the home turned on its male owner.

Hide AdThe man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield for treatment.
The dog was taken into kennels at the owner’s request.
No criminal offences were reported so the police investigation has been closed.
