Man left with broken jaw after pub assault – police appeal

Police are appealing for information after a man was left with a broken jaw outside a Cleckheaton pub.

The man in the CCTV image walked away after he punched a 28-year-old man in the face, causing him to fall to the floor.

It took place outside The George pub in Parkside on Saturday September 27 at around 12.30am.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his mid-to-late 20s, around 6ft tall, of stocky build with mousey coloured hair which was short but spikey at the front.

He was wearing a white vest top with blue horizontal stripes and dark blue jeans.

Det Con Cath Lowdon, of Kirklees CID, said: “I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured in this CCTV image or who has any other information which could help our ongoing investigation to call Kirklees CID on 101. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
