MP extends community competition deadline

The deadline for a brand new community award has been extended.

Simon Reevell, the MP for Dewsbury and Mirfield, launched The Emleys to recognise people who work hard for their communities.

People now have until Monday June 10 to get their entries in and the winner will be presented with a prize at the top of Emley Moor Mast.

To nominate an unsung hero, send your contact details and the nominees’, along with a description of the candidate’s contribution to the area, to [email protected] or 5 Northgate, Dewsbury, WF13 1DS.

Nominees must live within the Dewsbury and Mirfield constituency and the winner will be picked by a judging panel including Reporter Series editor Hannah Ridgeway.
