Binks Development, which is leading the restoration of the 170-year-old Blakeridge Mill site, said all 75 apartments at the new Jubilee Mill will be finished by the end of November.

Work started on the Jubilee Mill, off Mayman Lane, in January and 60 of the apartments have already been letted out.

Harriet Hunter, who runs on site letting agency Raspberry Lettings and is the daughter of managing director Richard Binks, said: “We are really excited about the conclusion of the Jubilee Mill.

“We are so proud of Blakeridge Mills, we’re creating a community here.

“We know how accessible Batley is and how beautiful the mill is and we wanted to restore it and bring it back to life.”

Work on the whole development started in 2011 with the 31-apartment Spinning House.

It was followed by seven apartments at the Garden House, 39 at the Sugar Mill and a further three at the Weaving House in 2013.

Binks Development said that work on the final part of the development, Blackridge Mill, off Blakeridge Lane, will start next year.

It will feature apartments, a swimming pool, a gym and indoor car parking for residents.

There will also be 13 affordable apartments.

Mrs Hunter said: “We’re massive Batley fans and restoring the mill has always been important, because everyone loves it here.”
