Mirfield Town Council this week discussed the possibility of doing a new “Mirfield Matters” survey.
A survey was sent to all residents in the town back in 2007 to ask them what they wanted help with from the town council and what they thought the authority should prioritise.
And Coun Martyn Bolt (Con, Mirfield), said a new survey should be sent out to update on the findings from eight years ago.
Coun Bolt said:I would suggest that we draw a line under this and do a modernising questionnaire.
“This will give us a mandate for any decision we decide to make in the future.”
He went on to say the cost would be around £20,000.
The council agreed that it should look into doing the survey, and that much of the funding would come from partnerships with other organisations, rather than the town council’s own coffers.
