Clues to the Mirfield of times past

As PART of my research into the history of Mirfield, I have been lent several photograph albums.

Two of the pictures are reputed to be of Mirfield but I have been unable to identify them.

One shows a row of ‘low deckers’ with a two storey house on the left. The plaque on the house reads R Murgatroyd French Polisher. The other photograph appears to be a pub.

Can anyone identify where these pictures were taken.

Also could anyone tell me the date of Fold Head (Kilner’s) mill fire on Newgate? It was in the late 1960s or early 1970s I believe.
