LETTERS: Three cheers for Mirfield!

I would like to thank the sponsors for helping the event happen.

I would like to thank the public for nominating and voting in their thousands, to everyone who donated towards the fundraising aspect, and to Georgina Morris and Richard Beecham at the Reporter for backing us with publicity and voting forms (despite us having no proven track record at organising such events).

I would also like to thank all the businesses for getting involved and supporting the event with their presence on the evening - this night was about them and celebrating the extra mile they all go for their community. We wanted to highlight many of the good things in Mirfield and through everyone’s support

I think we managed that together.
