Thanks for getting us to the finish line!

The team – myself, Lauren Ballinger and Claire Armstrong – has been overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who was kind enough to pledge sponsorship. The messages of encouragement from friends and family, colleagues and readers were wonderful.

I must say a huge thank you to the charity staff, Kirklees Active Leisure’s team at Dewsbury Sports Centre, personal trainers Danny Missin and King Solomon, and everyone at Dewsbury Road Runners for turning us from couch potatoes into half marathon material.

Finally, the biggest thanks of all goes to Lauren and Claire for saying yes when I asked if anyone wanted to join me in the challenge. I can’t imagine how I would have survived six months of training without them.
