Police appeal after theft of coffee

Police in Dewsbury are appealing for witnesses after the theft of a large amount of coffee from an industrial estate in Ravensthorpe.

The incident happened between 2am and 3.30am on Thursday 27 from a lorry that was parked up.

Four men took the coffee from the vehicle and put it into a large white van through a sliding door. The van was possibly a Citroen Relay.

At 3.13am the four were disturbed by a passing car. Two of them got into the van and made off and the other two made off on foot towards Huddersfield Road.

Insp Jenny Thompson of Dewsbury and Mirfield NPT, said: “Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact PC David Briggs on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
