Police hunt the driver of the Christmas Tree painted van

Police are searching for the drivers of a white van with a distinctive paint job that was spotted at the scene of a gate theft.

Some wooden gates were stolen from an address on Hopton Lane, Upper Hopton, at around 8.15pm on Thursday October 17.

Officers want to speak to the occupier or occupiers of a white transit van which was seen leaving the scene at speed.

It is then thought that the van then drove through several red lights with lots of other motorists around at the time.

The van had a white chipper back and a spray painted Christmas tree on it.

Any witnesses are asked to contact PC Rosaleen McCaffrey on 101.
