Residents who have set up a neighbourhood watch after a village shop was hit by thieves will advance their plans at a public meeting on Thursday.
Almost 70 residents have already expressed their support of the scheme.
Lead coordinator Keith Haigh said: “At the meeting we will receive help and advice on how best to run our scheme and we can then discuss how to organise ourselves to suit the particular landscape of our village.
“All the ground work has already been done and we are indeed a fully registered and bona fide Neighbourhood Watch Group and all we need now is coordination which we can easily achieve at our first meeting.”
The meeting takes place at Lower Hopton WMC, North Street, on Thursday June 20, 7pm.
