Reporter Series’ Champion Children Awards 2011
There were tears and cheers at this year’s Champion Children awards.
The Reporter Series awards were held this week to honour children and young people for their courage, fortitude, hard work and outstanding achievements. BBC Look North breakfast presenter Clare Frisby hosted the awards this year and spoke to every child and their families about their amazing stories.
Some had overcome huge difficulties physically or emotionally, others were rewarded for there selflessness and contribution to others or to society. Their stories were heartbreaking and heartwarming and we will have all their stories and pictures from the event this week.
