Shopkeeper tried to tackle robber
A brave shopkeeper tried to tackle a raider during a robbery.
A man entered the Nisa store in Wakefield Road on Friday night shortly before 8pm and demanded cash.
The suspect grabbed money from the till and tried to flee.
The shopkeeper attempted to stop him but was pushed back and fell to the floor.
The suspect escaped with the cash.
Detectives are investigating and are asking anyone with information to call 101.
