Superheroes, scientists and villains were on the prowl when students were transformed during a fancy dress day.
Sixth form students at Heckmondwike Grammar School took part in their leaver’s fancy dress event on Tuesday.
The event featured characters including Bill and Ben, Scooby Doo, Batman and Super Mario. Headteacher Mike Cook said: “Tuesday’s event really showed the sense of unity and togetherness that the sixth form here have.
“People in their age group are placed under intolerable pressure from all directions and it’s very important to find opportunities to help relax them and break that pressure up.”
A competition to decide which fancy dress was the best was just by teachers.
Students Ben Kent and Spencer Gorman as Lou and Andy from BBC’s Little Britain won Best In Show.
Jemima Beaumont and Ellie Walker scooped Best Pair with their portrayals of Bill and Ben.
Head girl Alicia Roberts, of Roberttown, Liversedge, said: “It was a fantastic day and it was great to have a break from all the stress of the exams at the moment.
“Everyone looked amazing and it was nice to see so many people taking part.”
Jack Whitlam and Alicia Roberts were given the Comedy Award after dressing up as the deputy and assistant headteachers at the school.
The Best Group award was scooped by students Muhammad Ali, Kashif Iqbal, Jawaad Arif, Uzair Patel and Jamaal Sheikh who were dressed as The Amigos.
