Temporary roadworks will be installed overnight to improve sections of two motorways.
From junction 27 at Gildersome on the M62 to junction 1, the westbound side of the carriageway will be closed for bridge works.
The road will be shut overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday for five nights.
At junction 27 in the opposite direction the eastbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for technology works on Wednesday between the same times.
The southbound carriageway between junction 41 at Carr Gate and junction 42 at Lofthouse on the M1 will be closed for three nights.
It will be shut between 8pm and 6am from Monday.
The northbound carriageway between junction 39 at Durkar and junction 40 at Ossett will also be closed for three nights between the same times from Thursday.
All of the work is being carried out as part of the Highways England’s smart motorway scheme.
The project aims to increase capacity and ease congestion by allowing the hard shoulder to be used as a permanent lane in both directions.
Drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.
