BRIGHT pupils from a Mirfield primary school have learned and performed a French song for their school.
The year four pupils from Battyeford Primary School, Nab Lane, learned a song about the weather, called La Meteo, and performed it for the rest of the school in assembly.
The pupils learned and performed the song to achieve a grade one Asset languages qualification, a scheme for people of all ages who want to learn a language.
Teacher Michelle Williams said: "This is the first time we've had any accredited assessment and they're the first group to achieve it."
She thanked Castle Hall School languages teacher Nicki Hannam for her help.
