DEWSBURY Celtic won this National Conference Division Two game at a canter, despite playing the second half with 12 men after Chris Mortimer was dismissed just before the break.

Celtic scored in the first minute when Pat Foulstone’s kick was gathered by Liam Walmsley. Nikki Crabtree converted.

Tries followed in quick succession from Mortimer, Anthony Dunford, James Halmshaw and a length of the field break by Pat Foulstone.

Further tries came from Bartley O’Brien and a second for Dunford all converted by Crabtree.

After the break Mike Foulstone, Liam Walmsley (three), Josh West, Jack Millington and Josh Thorneycroft scored tries with Pat Foulstone adding four conversions. Heworth added a late consolation.

n Shaw Cross Sharks earned a 24-12 win at Elland thanks to tries by Squires, Talbot, Annakin and Glynn who also scored four conversions.

n The Sharks play Thornhill Trojans in the HW Jim Brown Cup semi-final on Tuesday (6.30pm).
