“I am conscious we are representing the Bradford League and next year is the club’s 150th anniversary so it would be nice to celebrate that.”
Yorkshire captain and Cleckheaton lad Andrew Gale was among the crowd to witness the Moorenders clinch the title at Woodlands last Saturday and Worrall was keen to pass on his gratitude.
The chairman added: “Andrew has really supported us. He is a busy lad with his county commitments but he always finds time for us at Cleckheaton which is very much appreciated.

“The club was full last Saturday and the champagne and beer was flowing.
“There were lots of families down and it was a really enjoyable occasion for everyone who works hard, from the raffle ticket and programme sellers to the groundsman, everyone was part of the success.
“I’m really pleased for John Wood and the boys. We went close last season but the same bunch of lads stuck together and came back determined to go one better.”
