Slideshow: East Bierley defeat Gomersal in Priestley Cup
East Bierley earned a 138-run success over second division Gomersal in the Sovereign Health Care Priestley Cup first round as former Scotland player Gavin Hamilton made a magnificent 152.
Hamilton’s innings contained 17 fours and he was supported in a sixth-wicket stand of 109 by Neil Gill (41) as Bierley made 256-6.
Gomersal were dismissed for 118 in reply as spinner Kez Ahmed returned the impressive figures of 7-33.
