Cross A hopes handed a blow

SHAW Cross A have written to the Yorkshire League after their hopes of reaching the top-four play-offs were dealt a blow following the withdrawl of Northallerton.

Cross looked odds on to reach the Division Three play-offs but when Northalleton resigned, the Yorkshire League handed 30-0 victories to all their remaining opponents, a decision which has seen the Sharks slip to fifth place, going into Saturday’s must-win derby with White Rose at Bywell Fields.

Cross have asked that all Northallerton’s results to be wiped off the league and if this were to happen, it would increase their top-four hopes.

Eastmoor are currently fourth, a point ahead of the Sharks.
