Final joy for Moor

A STRONG display by Dewsbury Moor saw them beat Ossett Trinity 38-18 at Batley Bulldogs on Wednesday to lift the Jim Brown Heavy Woollen Cup.

Trinity led with a Richard Ginnelly try converted by Sid Lyndsey but Moor replied as Phil Smpson’s try was goalled by Andy Robinson.

Ryan Johnson then touched down and Robinson converted, and he was on target again to improve a Scott Dyson try as Moor led 18-6 at the break.

Trinity hit back with a Francis green try which Sid Lyndsey improved but Moor made it 22-12 as good handling saw Phil Shotton dive over.

Ginnelly added his second try and Sid Lyndsey goalled as Trinity close to within four points but solid defence kept them at bay before Moor took charge.

Shotton and Simpson each bagged their second tries of the game, both improved by Robinson, before Adie Moore capped a fine effort with a try out wide.
