Hunslet Old Boys beat Thornhill Trojans to win the Yorkshire Cup

Hunslet Old Boys won 20-16 against Thornhill Trojans in the Hamuel Reichenbacher Yorkshire Cup final on Tuesday.

The thrilling final at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium, Belle Vue, Wakefield, was watched by a crowd of 2,478.

The sides were tied 10-10 at the break before Pennine Premier Division Hunslet Old Boys edged home against their Pennine Division Two rivals.

Ricky Hazelwood and Kieran Murphy both scored two tries for the winners while Carl Briggs landed two goals.

Thornhill’s tries came from Joss Ratcliffe, Darren Robinson and Craig Holmes. Ryan Glynn and Robinson kicked goals.
