Ismail hat-trick inspires Young Stars to victory

Ismail Patel claimed a hat-trick as Dewsbury Young Star beat Dewsbury Elite by 40 runs in the Dewsbury District League Section A last Sunday.

Ismail hit four fours and two sixes as he top scored with 51 and with Imran Patel (32) supporting, Young Stars reached 180-9.

Tamoor Saghir made 30 in reply as Elite were dismissed for 140. Ismail Patel’s hat-trick saw him bowl Sajad Hussain for 25, followed by Nasir Soudaga and Waseem Aktar as he finished with 4-12.

Savile Town lead Section A by 12 points from Young Star after they defeated New Sanam by 12 runs.

Zahid Shah claimed 3-13 as Savile Town were bowled out for 143, with Tariq Hussain (78) top scoring.

New Sanam were dismissed for 131 in reply as Savile Town edged home.

Bilal Abbas (64) and Shahbaz Ahmed (43) helped PKWA post 182-8 against Gujarkhan Star, who had Amjad Hussain (3-24) in form.

Gujarkhan were restricted to 128-9 in reply, with Imran Malik (44) top scoring, as Mudassas Hussain claimed 3-24.

Scout Hill edged past Ajmal’s total of 120 all out with just one wicket to spare, while Friends Eleven cruised to a seven-wicket win over Kismat A, who were dismissed for 109.

Azad moved top of Section B thanks to a 51-run victory over Driftwood.

Asif Sheraz made 73 in Azad’s 148 all out, of which Saqib Hussain claimed five wickets, but Driftwood were then dismissed for 97 in reply.

Kismat B hit 205 all out, with Amirddum Kazi (50) and Idrish Patel (40), with Imran Khan Pathan claiming 3-16.

Kashmir were bowled out for 182 in reply as Arshad Mahmood claimed 4-20.

Asif Nawaz (3-16) helped dismiss Dewsbury United for just 92 before Zahoor Hussain hit 51 not out to guide Dewsbury to an eight-wicket win.
