‘Jowitt is doing a tremendous job’ - Crossley

DEWSBURY Rams prop Steve Crossley believes coach Warren Jowitt is doing a terrific job for the club, despite a recent dip in form.

The Rams lie seventh in the Co-operative Championship table and are without a game this weekend due to the Northern Rail Cup quarter-final.

They return to action on Thursday June 21 when Championship leaders Halifax are the visitors to Tetley’s Stadium.

Crossley said: “Warren is doing a tremendous job and all the players are fully behind him.

“We have only got a small budget but he has brought in a high calibre of player and we have kicked on following this disappointment of last year.

“We have hit a bit of a rough patch but we have played the top five sides in five consecutive matches.

“I am feeling good and am happy with the contribution I have made. We may have had a bit of a dip but the bigger picture is that we are happy with the first half of the season.”
