The Reporter Series have teamed up with VIP promotions to offer one lucky reader chance to win two ringside tickets for next Saturday’s huge British super featherweight title fight between Gary Sykes and Jon Kays at Dewsbury Sports Centre.

Gary’s manager, Steve Wood, of VIP Promotions, has delivered a dream homecoming for the Dewsbury star in what is sure to be a memorable sporting occasion for North Kirklees.

To be in with a chance of winning the pair of tickets, answer the following question and email, marking your entry ‘Sykes Ticket Competition’ and including your name, address and daytime telephone number.

The deadline is 5pm Tuesday (May 20) and YWNG competition rules apply.

Question: Why is Gary’s nickname ‘Five Star’ Sykes?

Tickets remain on sale for the title fight, when Sykes attempts to win the Lonsdale Belt outright.

They are priced £35 adults and £20 juniors, with ringside seats available at £70 each.

With unbeaten Dewsbury fighter Tony Aitcheson also on the impressive seven-fight bill, it promises to be an explosive night of boxing action.

Tickets are on sale at Dewsbury Sports Centre, Modafones shop, opposite Dewsbury market, and from Bar Deco, Bradford Road, Batley, where an after party will take place following the boxing.

Sykes and Aitcheson also have tickets available and any remaining will be on sale at next Friday’s official public weigh-in at Dewsbury Town Hall (1pm).
