Under-16s offered incentives to back Rams

The Rams are offering all Under-16s free season tickets for the 2015 campaign and youngsters will be able to collect points throughout the year to spend on merchandise including replica shirts.

Coach Glenn Morrison wants the club to engage with more young people in tempting them to become Rams fans.

Morrison said: “We’re a successful side now and the club is moving forward off the pitch, and we want the area’s young people to share that success with us.

“It’s a new era for the sport in 2015 so it’s a perfect opportunity for new people to come on board.

“Everyone under the age of 16 will be able to get a free season ticket, and the prices for adults compare really well with other clubs and other local attractions.

“It’s a chance for the whole family to support a successful side at a great price, and as a club we are confident we will continue to grow our fan base.

“We will continue to play an expansive, entertaining brand of rugby league and the players I’ve brought in will help us continue to entertain and they’ll complement the entertainers we already have.

“We want to put on a show for the fans and the club as a whole wants to make match days a great experience for everybody.

“The fans, the players and the coaching staff enjoy a great rapport at this club and we all appreciate everything the fans do for the club.

“As a player and a coach I have always believed that the players should be accessible to the fans and that’s what we have at this club.

“The players make the effort to interact with the fans – pose for photographs, sign autographs and spend time with them after games.

“In that respect we can offer something that some of the bigger sports clubs in the area can’t.

“We’re all one at this club. I’m a huge fan of that fact. And I hope more supporters can join us for the next chapter of our journey.”
